Fluffy the SMTPGuardDog Introduction
This document is intended to server as an introduction to Fluffy the SMTPGuardDog and to briefly explain what Fluffy can do, and how to go about training Fluffy.

What is Fluffy?
Fluffy is a proxy mail server that stands between your SMTP mail server and the internet, blocking spam before you receive it.
It can run on a standalone PC, on a networked PC, or on PCs running at several different locations.
What does Fluffy do?
Fluffy is a proxy SMTP server, and it:
- Accepts incoming mail from other mail servers
- Rejects mail from servers listed as sources of spam in black lists (DNSBL)
- Rejects mail sent to invalid email addresses (spam traps)
- Delays connections from new (not recently seen) mail servers - spammers often don't retry
- Prevents someone forging your local email address in an attempt to send mail
- Passes on accepted connections to your existing SMTP server for normal mail processing

- Fluffy is useful for anyone receiving email via SMTP
